NECTAR & AMBROSIA

a table fit for the gods.

A real treat awaits you at Nectar and Ambrosia in Troulos directly opposite the Victoria garage and supermarket, bus stop 19.

The menu is even a work of art containing hand drawings on expensive paper contained within a cork folder.

After climbing to the top of the marble steps you will enter a marble foyer with statues of gods and goddesses and marble columns giving the appearance of a stage about to feature a play from the classics.

You will be greeted by Aspa or one of her friendly staff and showed to your table.

On the table you will find traditional wooden plates, earthenware vessels and a scroll containing a short story from mythology.

The atmosphere is further enhanced by the constant trickle of water rising up through a rock and cascading down into a marble basin and floating lilies.

On the edge of the basin rests a reclining nymph unconscious of the constant attention the visitors pay her.

Some of the walls are decorated with plaster relief's of scenes from mythology and characters we remember from school

This is not just another Greek Taverna with Bazooki music endlessly playing in an attempt to create a feeling of tradition for tourists.

Nectar and Ambrosia is oozing tradition the creation of Aspa and Gregoris who are passionate about Greek Mythology and Legend's. Their restaurant reflects this passion and the food is such a refreshing change from taverna fare with dishes to suit all tastes and ages including children's favourites.
